At a time when LGBT+ lives are heavily in the media February is LGBT History Month and for 2024 it is ‘Behind The Lens’ which celebrates LGBT+ peoples’ contribution to cinema and film from behind the lens.
Random Acts of Kindness Day falls on the 17th and this US-based website The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation has some great resources and tips for kindness in the workplace, they even have downloadable calendars giving you daily ideas to inspire your followers and customers.
Fairtrade Fortnight commences on the 9th and since 2024 is the 30th birthday of Fairtrade, to celebrate they are using the occasion to highlight how 30 years of working together has made the FAIRTRADE Mark a leader of life-changing impact for farmers and workers across the world. Health & Wellbeing Content Ideas for February
Time to Talk Day, falling on the 1st is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. Happening every year, it’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.
World Cancer Day on the 4th is currently running a three-year campaign ‘Close the Care Gap’ and is calling upon us all to play our part in creating a cancer-free world.
Do you have an Apprentice at your workplace who would like to share their experience? The 5th – 11th would be a great time for them to do so as it is National Apprenticeship Week, a time to highlight the positive differences that apprenticeships can make to individuals, employers, and the wider economy.
Children’s Mental Health Week also falls from the 5th-11th and this year’s theme is ‘My Voice Matters’ which is about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves. By spreading the word about the week, you’ll help raise important awareness of children’s mental health and the different ways young people can be supported. Another child-related event is Safer Internet Day on the 6th. Both adults and children are spending more time online for work, school or recreational activities and this year’s theme is ‘Inspiring change? Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online’. It will cover young people’s perspectives on new and emerging technology and the changes they want to see online, as well as how we can use the internet to make changes for the better.

There are many food days this month! Starting with British Yorkshire Pudding Day on the 4th, do you have them no matter what meat you have for your roast? Then on the 5th, it’s World Nutella Day! Did you know that 365,000 tonnes of Nutella is consumed annually? National Pizza Day is on the 9th, you could ask your followers if they like leftover cold pizza for breakfast!?
