Case Study – CovHourLive

Event Social Media

About the project

#Covhour began on 22nd August 2013 and was the first online networking hour for Coventry. It was set up with the aim to help local businesses to connect, to share information and to support each other. Now with a community of more than 14,000 followers, we can safely say that this has been achieved!

A team was brought together in early 2017 to introduce #CovHourLive events where tweeters could meet in person. The first event took place in June 2017 at the Herbert Art Gallery and there have now been 7 events.

What We Did

As part of the team that launched the #covhourlive events we were heavily involved in promoting and coordinating the event. This included a spot of speaking on the night about why Twitter networking is great for your business.

Results & Stats

  • A photo from the #CovHourLive event in December 2017 was fundamental in helping Coventry gain the prestigious title of City of Culture for 2021.
  • Representatives from over 500 different businesses have attended the events.
