Start setting goals for your business today
January, a time for reflection, planning and most importantly doing! Let’s talk about setting goals for your business.
‘Dream big. Start small. Act now’
Back in September we sat down and made our 90 day plans. These were a combination of business and personal goals. We’re pleased to report that we achieved what we wanted to in our business during those 90 days. We also both completed some home decorating projects. Just don’t ask about the health and fitness goals, the thought was there, we just need to work harder on the will power!
This week we will sit down review those last 90 days and plan for the next 90 days.
Struggling with setting goals for your business?
Why not start by asking yourself some questions …
What makes me happy?
What would I love to create in the next 90 days?
What goal will I focus on?
Once you have your answers use these tips for setting some achievable goals…
5 Tips for setting achievable goals for your business
Set goals that motivate you. If you’re not motivated you won’t achieve your goals.
Make sure your goal is SMART … Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time bound.
Put pen to paper. Writing your goals down will make them feel more tangible and will mean you are more likely to achieve them.
Create an action plan. Breaking your goals down in to more manageable steps will help to make them feel more achievable. Cross off each step as and when you achieve them to help you feel like you are making progress.
Hang in there. Achieving your goals isn’t always easy. Keep on going and always remind yourself how far you have come.
Don’t forget to review and celebrate.
Once you’ve documented your goals it’s important to review them regularly. Take a look at them weekly. Note your achievements and why you’ve been successful. Celebrate your success. Think about how you can make changes to help you achieve your other goals. Good Luck and remember … “Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get” ~ Ingrid Bergman.
