Goal setting

Goal setting for business

‘Our goals can only be reached through the vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon what we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success’ Pablo Picasso

September always feels like the half year point for us. It’s the start of the school year. It’s also a great time to look back at achievements over the first half of the year and set goals to take you through to Christmas which is now less than 4 months away. We’ve pulled together some goal setting tips that we think are helpful.

5 Tips for setting achievable goals

Set goals that motivate you
If you’re not motivated you won’t achieve your goals. Ask yourself this question. “What is it I want to achieve from my goals?”

Make sure your goal is SMART
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Relevant
Time bound

Put pen to paper
Writing your goals down will make them feel more tangible and will mean you are more likely to achieve them.

Create an action plan
Breaking your goals down into more manageable steps will help to make them feel more achievable. Cross off each step as and when you achieve them to help you feel like you are making progress.

Hang in there
Achieving your goals isn’t always easy. Keep going and always remind yourself how far you have come.

We’ve spent today setting some goals. We’d love to hear about some of the goals you’ve set and your achievements. Get in touch and see for yourself how we can create a marketing strategy that ensures continued success for your business.
